Lobia Chaat / Black Eyed Peas Chaat

Been eating lots of heavy recipes lately and not many vegetables, so made a lighter lunch. As per Wikpedia:

Chaat or chat is a savoury snack that originated in India, typically served as an hors d’oeuvre at roadside tracks from stalls or food carts across the Indian subcontinent in India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh

This recipe is basically a salad with a really great dressing. The tamarind and mint chutneys were available in the International Foods section of our usual grocery store. I’d bought the Chaat Masala spice mix as part of my online grocery order from Punjabi Groceries, so I’m not sure if it is also available at my usual grocery store.

Easy and refreshing! I’ll definitely be making this again.
