Well 2021 has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start — paused posting about beans to focus on the attempted coup of the USA. That seems to have calmed down for the moment, so back to beans.
Made a chicken chili with black eyed peas a few days ago. My 14 year old daughter really liked it — she said partly because it tasted good, and partly because it is different from what I normally cook (often cumin or tomato-base of late). So she gives it a 4/5. I think I’m probably closer to a 3/5, but would make again.
